279 FZUS54 KHGX 040120 CWFHGX Coastal Waters Forecast for Texas National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 720 PM CST Wed Dec 3 2025 Upper Texas coastal waters from High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60 nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ300-041430- 720 PM CST Wed Dec 3 2025 .Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. A coastal trough is forecast to develop tonight bringing periods of rain and isolated storms tonight into Thursday morning. There could be some embedded strong storms in the waters in the 11pm-6am timeframe tonight. Some reduced visibility in sea fog is anticipated, though it is currently not expected to become dense due to the precipitation in the region. As the trough passes to our east Thursday afternoon, moderate to strong north to northeasterly winds will develop and continue into Friday.
