Upper Texas coastal waters from High Island to the Matagorda Ship
Channel out 60 nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda
Bays.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the
average highest 10 percent of the waves.

.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

Onshore winds will continue through the next few hours ahead of
an approaching cold front. This front and associated showers and
thunderstorms are expected to reach the bays late tonight, then
push over the Gulf waters early Sunday morning. Isolated strong
thunderstorms will be possible. Moderate to strong north winds
(sustained 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 30 to 35 knots) can be
expected in the wake of the front, and elevated seas of 5 to 8 ft.
Small Craft Advisories are in effect late tonight through Sunday
night for the Bays, and through Monday morning for the coastal
waters. Another upper level disturbance will move through Sunday
night and Monday bringing another round of rain and embedded
thunderstorms. Additional Small Craft Advisories are possible
Monday night into Tuesday morning as moderate to strong
northeasterly winds develop behind this exiting system.
