...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN KERN AND SOUTHERN
KINGS COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM PST...
At 350 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles southwest of Wasco, or 24 miles southwest of Delano, moving
northwest at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lost Hills, Blackwells Corner, Buttonwillow, Belridge, and Harris
Ranch.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
