Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
431 AM CDT Sat Aug 30 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions will continue the Tennessee Valley Saturday and
Sunday, with high pressure in control of the weather. Transport
winds from northeast between 10 and 15 mph are expected today.
These transport winds will become easterly on Sunday between 5 and
10 mph. Min RH values will drop to between 35-45 percent each
afternoon, with mixing heights peaking between 6000 and 9000 feet.
This will help to create good dispersions despite the light
winds.

Fog potential over the next few days: Localized patchy fog will
be possible late tonight into early Saturday morning along
sheltered river valleys.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
