Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
1130 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Little to no rain is forecast through Sunday afternoon; however,
rain chances return Sunday evening and night (20-40%) as a cold
front approaches and traverses north Alabama. Minimum relative
humidity values will remain well above any critical thresholds
through at least Monday. Mixing heights Sunday afternoon are then
expected to only reach between 1000-2800 feet, with mixing heights
on Monday reaching between 1600-4100 feet. Light westerly
transport winds on Sunday will become northerly and increase to
around 15 mph on Monday. Lastly, daytime dispersions are forecast
to be generally poor on Sunday then improve to be fair to
generally good on Monday.

Fog potential over the next few days: There is a low to medium
(20-40%) chance of fog and/or freezing fog (NE AL) this evening
and overnight.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
