Very hot and humid conditions affected central and eastern Kansas
today. Heat indices were dangerously high at 110 to 118 degrees
with south winds of 10 to 20 mph and sunny skies.

It will be another muggy and quiet night across the central
plains. Dry weather with overnight lows in the mid 70s to around
80 degrees.

The heat continues on Monday with numerous heat advisories and
extreme heat warnings still in effect over the Heartland. Daytime
highs will range from the mid 90s in western Nebraska to the
triple digits over Kansas and Oklahoma. Dangerous afternoon heat
indices of 110 degrees and higher will impact much of the region.
