Unseasonably warm conditions continue to impact the central US
with 4 AM temperatures in the 70s to near 80 degrees across the
region. A few showers are ongoing across southwest Kansas but the
remainder of the region is dry. Similar to the past month or so,
most areas will surge through the 90s and into the low 100s this
afternoon. Factoring in the humidity will produce heat indices
near 105 degrees, especially across eastern Kansas. Additional
thunderstorms are expected to move from eastern Colorado into
western Kansas late tonight. Temperatures tonight will remain
warm once again with lows ranging from the upper 60s across
western Kansas to the mid 70s across central and eastern Kansas.
