A warm and partly sunny afternoon was observed across the region
today. High temperatures ranged from the low 80s across northwest
Kansas which is behind a cold front to the lower and mid 90s
across central Kansas to the mid 80s across southeast Kansas where
cloud cover has been more persistent. A few showers and storms are
expected this evening and overnight in two primary areas. The
first is along the cold front across northwest Kansas and the
other is across northern Oklahoma into southern and eastern
Kansas. Any storm that manages to develop, will have the
potential to produce damaging downburst winds, large hail, and
heavy rainfall although most locations will remain dry.

Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s across eastern Colorado
to near 70 degrees across western Missouri. There is a chance for
some overnight showers and storms across northeast Kansas
otherwise the rest of the state will be dry. Showers and storms
will increase Saturday morning across northeast Oklahoma on
Saturday morning with these storms spreading to the northeast
through the day on Saturday. High temperatures on Saturday will
range from the mid 90s across northwest Kansas to the middle 80s
across eastern Kansas.
