Showers and storms developed early this morning across portions of
western Kansas and Oklahoma as a storm system approached from
northwest Kansas. Overnight low temperatures reached the 60s and 70s
from South Dakota to the Red River Valley.

Thunderstorms will make their way to the southeast through central
Kansas and Oklahoma this morning, with chances for lingering showers
and storms through the remainder of the day throughout the the
Plains. Afternoon high temperatures will reach the 80s and 90s for
across most of the Heartland.

For tonight, another round of showers and storms is possible from
the Dakotas to Oklahoma as the active pattern lingers into early
Sunday. Low temperatures in the 60s and low 70s are anticipated for
most of the region under mostly cloudy skies.
