A few showers and thunderstorms moved into far western Kansas
overnight. Gusty winds were the primary hazard. Otherwise, quiet
weather persisted across Kansas overnight, with predawn
temperatures in the 60s and 70s.

Chances for hit-or-miss thunderstorms will be present across the
region today, especially later this afternoon and this evening. A
few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible. Forecast high
temperatures are in the 80s and 90s, with near triple digit heat
indices over mainly southern Kansas.

Thunderstorm chances will continue across the region tonight, with
a few strong to severe thunderstorms remaining possible. Forecast
low temperatures are mainly in the 60s to low 70s.
