Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
753 AM EDT Sat Sep 5 2026

.DISCUSSION...
Unseasonably hot and humid weather will continue with heat
indices peaking around 105 to 110 degrees today. A cold front
will arrive late in the day with showers and thunderstorms, a few
of which could produce damaging winds. Some rain chances will
remain into early next week as the front lingers nearby with drier
conditions expected toward mid week as high pressure builds in
from the north.

Wind profile analysis/fire control over flat terrain is Favorable.

Fog potential for tonight is Low to Moderate, greatest inland.
