AMZ400-020900- Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm- 225 PM EDT Thu Oct 1 2026 .SYNOPSIS... High pressure stretching across the coastal Carolinas will move offshore this afternoon, with prevailing southeasterly winds expected to surge this evening, but speeds are forecast to remain just below Caution levels. A surge of tropical moisture will spread northward from the Florida peninsula tonight and Friday, resulting in gradually increasing chances for showers and a few embedded thunderstorms across our local waters. A frontal boundary will then enter the southeastern states on Friday night and Saturday, with this boundary slowing its forward progress as it approaches our local waters through Monday. Coverage of showers and thunderstorms will continue to increase this weekend. By early next week, strong high pressure building over the Great Lakes and Mid Atlantic region will wedge down the southeastern seaboard coast, pushing the front southward across the northeast Florida waters by Monday night and providing a surge of northeasterly winds and building seas by early Tuesday. Small Craft Advisory conditions are likely by late Monday night or Tuesday, with the potential for wind gusts near Gale force through at least midweek. .GULF STREAM...
