.SYNOPSIS...

Strengthening high pressure situated over the eastern Great Lakes
and Mid-Atlantic states tonight will shift eastward towards coastal
New England by Tuesday afternoon. This strong high pressure center
will wedge down the southeastern seaboard beginning on Tuesday,
pushing a cold front southward across our local waters during the
morning and early afternoon hours. A surge of northeasterly winds
will accompany this frontal passage, with Small Craft Advisory
conditions initially overspreading the Georgia waters by the mid to
late morning hours on Tuesday, with these conditions then reaching
the northeast Florida waters during the mid to late afternoon hours.
Waves of showers and a few embedded thunderstorms are expected to
traverse our local waters through Tuesday evening. High pressure
will shift off the New England and Mid-Atlantic coasts by Wednesday
night, with breezy onshore winds and elevated seas likely keeping
Small Craft Advisory conditions in place through Thursday for most
of our local waters.  High pressure will then weaken as it shifts
southward off the southeastern seaboard, allowing the frontal
boundary to return northward towards our area as a warm front.
Showers and thunderstorms will increase beginning on Thursday and
continuing into at least Saturday.
