...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky,
  including the following counties, in south central Kentucky,
  McCreary and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell and Knox.

* WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 503 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Williamsburg, Suttons Mill, Yaden, Julip, Lucky, Verne,
    Wofford, Emlyn, Perkins, Dixie, Louden, Nevisdale, Goldbug,
    Bon, Gatliff, Redbird, Clio, Gausdale, Carpenter and Siler.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
