Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
344 PM EST Tue Nov 18 2025

.DISCUSSION...A warm front will lift north across much of the region this
evening before sagging back south into the area tonight and
eventually drop south of the Commonwealth on Wednesday night. Showers
and some thunderstorms are expected this evening, with chances for
showers decreasing overnight though remaining through Wednesday
evening. Rainfall of a quarter to a half of an inch is forecast on
average for this evening into Wednesday evening. This boundary will
likely return north into eastern KY for Thursday evening into
Saturday and interact with passing upper level disturbances to bring
a wetting to soaking rain to eastern KY. Generally mild temperatures
should prevail for Wednesday to the weekend.
