.DISCUSSION...Dry conditions will prevail at most locations for
the next several days as strong ridging takes control of our
weather. Heat and humidity will also be on the rise, leading to
afternoon heat indices near or exceeding 100 degrees at some
locations from Sunday onward. A few pop-up showers or
thunderstorms also return to the forecast by the middle of next
week.
