Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
353 PM EST Wed Dec 3 2025
.DISCUSSION...High pressure will depart to the east of the
area tonight and allow a cold front to approach tonight and then
cross the area on Thursday. Some patchy light snow could fall from
this late tonight or early Thursday for locations generally north
of I-64. The potential for more significant precipitation,
especially for areas near and south of the Mtn Parkway will return
Thursday night to Friday, as an upper level disturbance
passes and an area of low pressure tracks along the Gulf coast.
Additional chances for precipitation are forecast at times to
end the weekend and for the middle of next week.
