Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
249 PM CDT Sat Jun 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Potential for enhanced fire weather concerns along and east of Highway 83
tomorrow and Monday as afternoon humidity falls into the 20 to 30 percent
range with temperatures rising well into the 90s and even some triple digits
south of Interstate 80. However winds will be relatively light with gusts
in the 15 to 20 mph range and most fuels are not cured which will help
mitigate fire weather conditions.

Otherwise, fire weather concerns will generally be low through the
upcoming workweek as humidity remains above critical levels and potential
for wetting rainfall in showers and thunderstorms increases toward the
latter portion of next week.
