094 FZUS63 KDTX 300154 GLFLH Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI 954 PM EDT Wed Jul 29 2026 For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...High pressure drop southeast across the central Great Lakes through the end of the week. Late Friday and through the weekend, a surface low is progged to track east across the Ohio Valley. Locally, winds across the central Great Lakes will become north-northeast Saturday. As this low approaches, the likelihood of showers and a few thunderstorms increase late Friday and on Saturday. On Sunday, north winds will briefly become reinforced and lingering chances for showers and storms remain in the forecast as a cold front drops south across the region. High pressure follows for early next week.
