Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1128 AM CST Mon Nov 10 2025

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...

Low humidity of 25 to 30 percent and gusty winds over 20 mph will
keep critical fire conditions in place through the afternoon
hours. A Red Flag Warning will remin in effect due to these
conditions through 6 pm. A surface high will filter into the area
tomorrow, keeping the winds below critical thresholds through the
end of the week. As the high pressure slides east later this
week, southerly winds will allow RH values to improve. By the
weekend, another low pressure system will bring higher rain
chances to the area.
