Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1226 PM CDT Mon Sep 1 2025

.DISCUSSION...

With a front continuing to drift offshore, only isolated chances
of showers or storms are anticipated today. There may be a
slightly better chance of precipitation on Tuesday as a
reinforcing frontal boundary approaches the area from the
northwest. Afternoon RH values are likely to be in the 45 to
55 percent range for some areas north of the Interstate 10 and
12 corridors today and Tuesday, and near or above 60 percent
south of Lake Pontchartrain. Outside of any convection, winds
will generally be light under 15 mph, keeping fire weather
concerns low.
