Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1118 AM CST Sat Nov 15 2025

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure centered just to the east will remain in place
through the start of the new workweek. Surface winds will remain
from a southerly direction, which is helping more low level
moisture to filter into the region from the Gulf, albeit gradual.
Relative humidity values will remain elevated through the
weekend. These higher RH values and light surface flow will limit
fire weather concerns from that stand point as min RH`s should be
around 50%. Conditions also look more favorable for areas of fog
to develop tonight. The fog could turn moderate to dense toward
sunrise each day over portions of Southern Mississippi Southeast
Louisiana. It should be noted that superfog is possible any areas
that fog does develop.
