A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Mississippi Sound...

At 602 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This
cluster of thunderstorms is generally located along a line extending
from 11 nm northwest of Grand Bay to 7 nm west of Chandeleur Sound,
moving east at 15 knots.

Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher
waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until this activity passes.
