WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: Unseasonably warm temperatures continue
across today and over the weekend with high temperatures reaching
near record as the high pressure system over the southwest
continue strengthen. Warmest temperatures expected Saturday and
Sunday as highs reach into the upper 80s with a few 90 degrees
expected in northern Nevada. By the start of next week,
temperatures will slightly cool down but remain above normal for
this time of year with parts of northern Nevada still hovering
near record temperatures in the 80s, while central Nevada cools
into the upper 70s to low 80s. This temperatures trend is expected
to last all through Thursday with northern Nevada staying well
above normal in the 80s. By the end of next week, temperatures
start to see a cooling trend dropping back into the 70s over
northern Nevada with a few spots remaining in the low 80s. Winds
will be generally light below 10 mph with a few peak gusts in the
afternoons up to 15-20 mph.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: High confidence for near record
temperatures across northern and central Nevada over the weekend.
High confidence in regards to the upper level high remaining over
the southwest to keep above normal temperatures over Nevada.
High confidence parts of northern Nevada see near record
temperatures throughout next week. Moderate confidence of cooler
temperatures returning by the end of next week. No changes to the
grids at this time.

Look for VFR conditions across all terminals over the next 24 hour
periods with generally light winds staying below 10 kts.

.FIRE WEATHER...

Under high pressure there is no precipitation in the forecast
across all fire weather zones through the weekend. Elevated wind
speeds along the northern NV border this afternoon across northern
portions of fire weather zones 437/438/469 will still fall well
short of fire weather criteria.
