610 FZUS61 KBUF 182102 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 402 PM EST Tue Nov 18 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 28.8 inch low near the northern Labrador/Quebec border will move northeast towards the North Atlantic tonight through Wednesday. A 30.2 inch high centered over the upper Great Lakes today will build to the lower Great Lakes Wednesday and to New England Thursday. A 29.5 inch surface low along the southern shoreline of Hudson Bay will swing a cold front east across the lower Great Lakes Friday, followed by a 30.0 inch high building over the Ohio Valley and lower Great Lakes Saturday. A weak 29.7 inch wave of low pressure will then move across Ontario Province and the Lower Lakes on Sunday.
