.DISCUSSION...

Today will see temperatures peaking in the middle to upper 80s and
lower 80s near the Illinois lakeshore. Expect winds out of the
south at around 10 to 15 mph north of I-80 and generally less than
10 mph farther south. No rain is expected through the daytime.

A system of showers will approach the I-39 corridor late tonight
and fill in over the area into Wednesday morning. Densely
scattered showers are expected during the morning with a few
embedded thunderstorms possible. Additional storms are possible in
the late afternoon and evening south of I-80. Dry conditions are
forecast for Thursday and Friday before scattered rain and storm
