.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 16Z, or 8 AM PST, a 1019 mb surface high was
40 NM southeast of Point Conception. A 1001 mb surface low was 675
NM northwest of Point Conception with a frontal boundary trailing to
the south through southwest. A storm system will make its way into
the region Thursday, bringing with it dangerous ocean conditions, as
well as thunderstorms with rain, lightning, and possible waterspouts
into the weekend.
