The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Los Angeles County in southwestern California...
  This includes the Palisades Burn Scar.


* Until 700 AM PST.

* At 551 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is
  0.15 to 0.25 inches in 30 minutes. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding, along with rock slides and mudslides,
           caused by showers and thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Rock slides
           and mudslides.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Eastern Malibu, Santa Monica, Woodland Hills, Encino, Topanga
  State Park, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Interstate 405 through
  the Sepulveda Pass, Calabasas, Bel Air, Topanga Canyon Road
  through the Santa Monica Mountains, Mandeville Canyon and Tarzana.
  This includes the Palisades Burn Scar.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid flooded roads. Be aware of rock slides, and mudslides.
