300 FZUS63 KMQT 281401 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 AM EDT Fri Aug 28 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 30.1 inch high pressure over Lake Superior this morning increases to 30.2 inches later today over the Upper Great Lakes before continuing into New England on Saturday. Saturday night, a low pressure over the Central to Northern Plains deepens to 29.6 inches. This low lifts north into the Canadian Prairies early next week, with heights over Lake Superior subsequently falling to 29.8 inches by Monday afternoon. Weak high pressure ridging of at least 29.8 inches returns to Lake Superior by Tuesday.
