899 FZUS63 KMQT 300201 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 PM EDT Fri May 29 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 30.4 inch high pressure over Hudson Bay dives south towards the Upper Great Lakes through Saturday, arriving at 30.3 inches. The high remains over the area into Sunday while progressively weakening with time, eventually becoming around 30.0 inches by late Sunday as another 30.4 inch high approaches the area from Hudson Bay. This second high builds over the Great Lakes Monday before arriving by Tuesday. The high remains over the Great Lakes into Wednesday morning.
