042 FZUS63 KMQT 071401 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 AM EDT Mon Sep 7 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... Ridging of 30.1 inches over Lake Superior builds to 30.2 inches today as a 30.4 inch high crosses far northern Ontario. Meanwhile, a 29.6 inch low develops off the northern Rockies by Monday morning and then tracks northeast to Hudson Bay, deepening to 29.1 inches by Wednesday afternoon. This sends a 29.7 inch trough over the lake Tuesday night and Wednesday. Ridging of 30.0 inches returns on Thursday, followed by another trough of around 29.7 inches on Friday.
