National Weather Service Marquette MI
1000 PM EST Thu Feb 12 2026

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 30.3 inch high pressure is retreating into the southern portion of
the Great Lakes while a 29.8 inch low moves across far northern
Ontario tonight. This low then pulls a 29.9 inch trough over eastern
Lake Superior on Friday. High pressure then builds back to 30.1
inches over the Great Lakes by Saturday morning before a weak 29.9
inch trough moves into the Upper Great Lakes Saturday evening. Weak
troughing of around 29.8 inches hangs out over the Upper Great Lakes
the rest of this weekend before strengthening to 29.7 inches over
Lake Superior via a 29.6 inch low lifting over northern Ontario on
Monday. Weak ridging of 30.2 inches crosses back over Lake Superior
on Tuesday ahead of a 29.3 inch low lifting off of the Central
Rockies.
