493 FZUS63 KMQT 250201 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1000 PM EDT Mon Aug 24 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 30.0 inch high pressure over the western Great Lakes will shift south to the Lower Peninsula of Michigan on Tuesday, building to 30.1 inches. Meanwhile, a 29.7 inch Clipper low pressure over Manitoba moves to western Ontario on Tuesday, weakening to 29.8 inches. This Clipper moves over Lake Superior by Wednesday morning before lifting away towards James Bay and northern Quebec Wednesday night into Thursday morning. 30.1 inch high pressure ridging returns to Lake Superior by Friday afternoon, building to 30.2 inches over the Lower Great Lakes for Saturday.
