.DISCUSSION...

Low pressure will move from the Upper Great Lakes to northern New
England. Early summer heat will continue. The area of low pressure
will send a trailing cold front southward into the Mid-Atlantic
tonight into Sunday. The front may be accompanied by a few showers
or a thunderstorm into this evening. A few additional showers or a
thunderstorm are possible in central Virginia on Sunday.

The front will drop further south the first half of next week,
likely reaching as far south as Florida by Tuesday night as strong
high pressure builds in from the Northeast. This will lead to
slightly cooler temperatures and lower humidity. As high pressure
moves off the coast, heat and humidity, along with thunderstorm
chances, return for the second half of next week.
