Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1254 PM CDT Tue Oct 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Min RH above critical 15%, good to excellent overnight recovery,
and continued cooler overnight temperatures will maintain low fire
weather conditions, despite gusty upslope southeast winds
Wednesday into Thursday, continued gusty southerly winds during
the early afternoon/evening each day into early next week, and
persistent drying of fuels especially over higher terrain due to
lack of substantial rainfall.
