Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
212 AM CDT Mon Sep 23 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low through the period. Through the
middle of the week, continued rainfall potential, below normal
temperatures, and above critical relative humidity will greatly
limit fire weather concerns. Lightning starts can`t be ruled out
in drier fuels. Rainfall potential ends by the middle of the week,
though near normal temperatures, above critical relative
humidity, light winds, and good overnight recovery is maintained.
A slow drying trend begins as well, but ERCs are currently low.
