Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
142 PM CST Fri Nov 14 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns are low. ERCs remain in the 50-74th
percentile across the region (75-89th for the Big Bend into parts
of the Permian Basin). Min RHs near critical values persist today
and tomorrow, but increase through the remainder of the weekend
and into next week. Aside from Monday, generally light winds are
forecast, and gusty winds do not overlap critical min RHs. These
factors, coupled with moderate to occasionally excellent
recoveries, will limit fire weather.

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
