.DISCUSSION...
Min RH below critical 15% will be reached each afternoon today
through Thursday from the Presidio Valley into the Sacramento
Foothills and northern Lea County. ERCs will increase as a result
of warmer than average temperatures but remain below the 50th
percentile, while 20-ft winds remain light west of the foothills
of western higher terrain and the Sacramento Foothills into
Guadalupes. Cooler temperatures and increased shower/storm chances
Friday through early next week will allow min RH to stay above
critical, while 20-ft winds remaining below 20 miles per hour even
in driest regions, keeping fire risk low. While fire starts from
lightning and erratic winds are still possible, high soil moisture
and low fuel ERCs will limit fire spread.
