...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN ITAWAMBA...SOUTHEASTERN
LEE AND NORTHEASTERN MONROE COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM CDT...

At 628 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Evergreen, or 8 miles north of Amory, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Amory, Smithville, New Salem, Evergreen, Nettleton, Hatley, Abney,
Sipsey Fork, Cardsville, Turon, Tilden, Splunge, Jacinto, Parham, and
Richmond.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
