Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
108 PM EST Sat Dec 6 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Fire concerns are expected to remain LOW over the next
few days.

Wetting rain FRI provided some relief to drought conditions
across the region. Rain confined to coast SAT with front
stalled offshore. Dry forecast for SUN as high pressure
briefly builds in. Rain chances pick back up MON as a cold
front approaches and passes through the area with low
pressure developing and passing well offshore. Dry forecast
middle of next week with another front expected toward
the latter half of the work-week.
