.DISCUSSION...

A Special Weather Statement is in effect through this afternoon
for gusty west-northwesterly winds and very low relative humidity
values.

Mixing heights are expected to top off between 4500 to 6500 ft,
with the highest values in southwestern Wisconsin. Across all of
southern Wisconsin, 20 ft winds are expected to gust around 30
mph, with gusts up to 35 mph in central to southwestern Wisconsin.
This will lead to excellent smoke dispersal values.

Minimum relative humidity values have fallen quickly this
afternoon, with observed values around 23 percent in southwestern
Wisconsin. Local drops below 20 percent are expected in
southwestern Wisconsin as well. In southeastern Wisconsin,
relative humidity values in the 25 to 30 percent range continue to
be expected through the afternoon, but a few areas may dip below
25 percent as well.
