Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
300 AM EDT Mon Oct 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Breezy and gusty onshore winds combined with high moisture will
support rounds of numerous showers today. Heavy downpours and
localized flooding rain are forecast to be the main hazards today,
but occasional lightning strikes cannot be ruled out. A drier
airmass builds Tuesday and into mid week, lowering rain chances
through Thursday. However, lingering moisture across the south could
keep locally higher rain chances in vicinity of Lake Okeechobee on
Tuesday. East winds around 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph are
forecast to persist the next several day, especially along the
coast. There are no min RH concerns, with fair to generally good
smoke dispersion. High temperatures are forecast near normal,
ranging the mid 80s along the coast and upper 80s across the
interior.

Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
