.DISCUSSION...
An overall moist airmass continues across the area into next week,
maintaining near to above normal coverage of diurnal showers and
lightning storms each day (rain chances 40-70% today,70-80% Monday
through Wednesday, and 60-80% Thursday). Peak coverage remains mid-
late afternoon and early evening. A sea breeze collision will occur
late each day through Monday across the eastern Florida peninsula,
with the sea breeze collision occurring further into the interior
Tuesday through Thursday. Storms and showers will be capable of wind
gusts to 35-50 mph, occasional to frequent cloud to ground
lightning, and locally heavy rainfall leading to minor flooding of
urban and low lying areas. The east coast sea breeze will transition
winds to the southeast along the coast each afternoon. Wind speeds
will generally be 5-10 mph, but will have the potential to increase
up to 10-15 mph along the coast behind the sea breeze.
No Min RH concerns as deep moisture will keep RH values generally
above 60 percent. Dispersion values will range from Fair to
Generally Good today and Monday, and Poor to Fair on Tuesday.
Temperatures continue in the low 90s (few mid 90s today) and upper
80s to low 90s into next week with peak afternoon heat indices of
100-107F.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
