.DISCUSSION...
Strengthening high pressure north of Florida will maintain breezy
northeast winds across east central Florida through early this week,
with wind speeds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts of 30 to 35 mph possible,
especially along the coast. A Wind Advisory is in effect along the
entire east central Florida coast today. These winds combined with
increasing moisture have led to the development of scattered to
numerous onshore-moving showers and this activity is forecast to
persist through today and into Monday. Low chance for storms (20-
30%), with the primary hazard remaining minor flooding due to
repeated rounds of showers and the potential for training bands
along the coast. With the higher moisture present across the
peninsula, there are no minimum RH concerns over the next several
days. Breezy transport winds will maintain very good afternoon smoke
dispersion values through early this week.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
