.DISCUSSION...
Light southwest winds become more southerly on Monday as high
pressure lifts north across east central Florida. Each afternoon,
winds become more southeasterly as the east coast sea breeze
develops and pushes inland, with wind speeds of 10-15 mph following
sea breeze passage. There are no minimum RH concerns. Fair to
Generally Good smoke dispersion values each day. Hot conditions
persist, with highs in the low to mid 90s and heat indices reaching
100F-107F. Scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms this
afternoon, with the west coast sea breeze initializing convection
and pushing it towards the east coast through late afternoon and
evening. Interactions with the east coast sea breeze near the Space
& Treasure coasts will lead to additional development, with
lightning strikes, wind gusts up to 55 mph locally, and heavy
downpours all in play. Activity diminishes into the late evening
hours, with lower chances for showers and storms on Monday.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
