FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
455 AM EDT Tue Sep 24 2024

...CHANCE FOR SHOWERS OVER THE EAST, OTHERWISE DRY WEEK AHEAD...

.DISCUSSION: A low pressure tracking to Lower Michigan today,
continuing northeast over Lake Huron through Wednesday morning
brings some low chances for showers to the east late this
afternoon. Not much accumulation is expected with this system,
likely less than 0.1 inches. Otherwise southeast to east winds
remain light, mainly below 10 mph. Highs peak in the 60s and min
RHs only fall into the 40s and 50s, lower in the west where there
is better clearing and mixing.

RHs fully recover tonight as temperatures fall into the 40s to
low 50, warmer in the east where low chances for showers continue
and cloud cover remains. Some patchy fog may develop in the west
as winds become calm, particularly where there is better clearing
skies. The rest of the week is expected to remain dry as high
pressure dominates the forecast. Temperatures trend well above
normal in the late part of the week.
