.DISCUSSION...
Warm, dry, and breezy conditions are expected throughout the
weekend. Temperatures today peak in the 80s for most, with some of
the typically warmer downsloping areas near Lake Superior possibly
approaching 90F this afternoon. Dewpoints in the lower 60s yield
minimum RH around 40-45% for most of the UP, but elevated southerly
winds (with gusts up to 20-30mph possible) will present limited fire
weather concerns given our lack of recent rainfall for most of the
UP. Temperatures come in slightly lower Sunday, but RH still bottoms
out around 40-45% for much of the UP during the afternoon.
Meanwhile, southerly wind gusts to 20-30mph remain common, but
stronger gusts to near 40mph will be possible in the Keweenaw.
