...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER THREAT DUE TO LOW RH AND MODERATE
WESTERLY WINDS ACROSS THE EAST BAY HILLS SATURDAY AFTERNOON...
.DISCUSSION...A building ridge will compress the marine layer,
increase temperatures, and decrease relative humidities beginning
on Saturday. Daytime humidity retention will drop below 15% in the
interior as temperatures reach the 90s. Elevated fire weather
threats will develop in the interior mountains, particularly in
the East Bay, as the hot and dry conditions combine with breezy
and gusty afternoon winds. Similar conditions are expected Sunday
with little to no improvement through the middle of the week.
Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
