West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A cold front will approach the
northern Mid- Atlantic coast tonight. The cold front will move
offshore and cross the N waters Mon, and then clear E of the N
waters Mon night as the front moves into the central waters. The
front will stall and weaken E of the South Carolina coast Tue
into Tue night as weak high pressure forms N of the front. The
front will dissipate Wed as the weak high shifts E of the N
waters. The next cold front will approach the coast from the W
and NW Wed into Wed night. The cold front will move SE over the N
waters Thu, and the central waters Thu night. The front will
become stationary E of Hatteras Fri, while high pressure builds N
of the front Fri into Fri night.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
