height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...A low pressure trough will
persist along the coast tonight, then dissipate Wed. High
pressure will extend a ridge SW across far NW portions of the
northern waters tonight through Wed night. The high will
dissipate Thu as a cold front moves S into the northern waters.
The front will dissipate over the central waters late Thu night.
Another low pressure trough will develop along the coast Fri,
then persist through Sun night. High pressure will build well NW
of the area Fri, then gradually shift NE through Sun night while
maintaining a ridge just W of the waters.
