Offshore Waters Forecast for the SW N Atlantic from 19N to 31N W
of 55W including Bahamas.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the SW N Atlantic including the Bahamas

.SYNOPSIS...An area of showers and thunderstorms located several
hundred miles east of the Bahamas is associated with a surface
trough that extends from 28N68W to a 1012 mb low near 26N70W to
22N71W. Environmental conditions are marginally conducive for
some gradual development of this system during the next few days
while it moves westward or west-northwestward. The system is
forecast to approach the coast of the southeastern United States
by the latter part of this week. Regardless of development, fresh
to strong NE to E winds and rough seas to 12 ft will prevail
across the waters N of 26N through Thu. High pres N of the area
and associated ridging will dominate the region afterwards,
supporting gentle to moderate E to SE winds the remainder forecast
period.
