...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Nebraska, including the following
  county, Platte.

* WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways was reported in Columbus, Nebraska.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 546 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Columbus, Humphrey, Duncan, Platte Center, Monroe, Lindsay,
    Creston, Lakeview, Tarnov, Cornlea, Circle H Trailer Park,
    Lake Oconee, College View Trailer Park, Central Community
    College, Lake Babcock, Lake North, Shell Creek Elementary
    School and Camp Pawnee.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
