.UPDATE...
Issued at 634 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025

Surface high pressure is anchored to our northwest this evening,
keeping the weather calm and quiet. Clouds continue to decrease in
coverage and mostly clear skies are forecast tonight. Dew point
depressions will be small overnight, so areas of patchy dense fog
will be possible.

.SHORT TERM...
(Rest of today through Saturday)
Issued at 634 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025

Clouds associated with a low pressure system and attending cold
front are beginning to inch closer to the mid-state this afternoon.
We do not expect any precipitation from the cold front, as it should
stall out north of our area. However, some clouds can be expected
into tomorrow morning. Patchy fog could be a hazard for some parts
of middle Tennessee on the weekend, appearing after midnight and
lasting into the early morning. Temperatures through the weekend
will be closer to what we expect for this time of year: chilly
nights and days where you need a jacket in the morning and evening
but sweat in the afternoon.

.LONG TERM...
(Saturday Night through next Friday)
Issued at 634 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025

Into the work week, a high pressure system is forecasted to be the
dominant feature, leading to the increase in our temperatures. They
will level off in the low 80s for highs by mid-week, with morning
lows in the low to mid 50s. High pressure also means no
precipitation in the forecast for the period, so things will remain
dry. This pattern looks to extend into late October, with below-
normal rainfall and above-normal temperatures forecasted for middle
Tennessee by the CPC. Despite the dry environment, minimum RH is
forecasted to stay around 50% during the day, so we are not
concerned with fire weather at this time.

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 634 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025

A surface ridge of high pressure remains situated to the northwest
of Middle Tennessee, and is unlikely to budge over the next 24
hrs. So the TAFs are VFR during the evening period and for most of
the day tomorrow. We have included overnight radiation fog at
KMQY, KCSV and KSRB, where the t-over values suggest the
likelihood of reduced vsby, especially at KSRB, even though the
NBM model guidance really isn`t picking up on any. We failed to
observe any radiation fog last night, but dew point spreads are
smaller by several degrees than 24 hrs. ago, and winds have
already gone calm at most of the terminals.
