845 FXUS64 KOHX 090328 AFDOHX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Nashville TN 1028 PM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 ...New SHORT TERM, LONG TERM... .KEY MESSAGES... Updated at 1026 PM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 - No hazardous weather expected over the next week with dry conditions prevailing. - Cooler temperatures in the 70s for the remainder of the week, returning to the 80s next week. && .SHORT TERM... (Tonight through Friday Night) Issued at 1026 PM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 Beautiful fall weather is on tap through the remainder of the week with no impacts to speak of. Cloudy skies over the area through much of the day have cleared. Despite these mostly clear skies, the potential for fog tonight still looks to very low due to dry air settling into the area and winds staying up at around 5-10 mph. It may even feel a little chilly as you walk out the door Thursday morning as overnight temperatures fall into the mid and upper-40s for much of the area. High pressure builds over the southern plains, keeping northwesterly flow aloft over Middle TN. Despite an embedded trough tracking through the area Thursday, dry conditions will prevail. Highs will warm into the 70s, giving us a gorgeous day to enjoy. Similar conditions are expected on Friday. High temperatures will warm a couple degrees as pressure heights rise, but highs will still stay in the 70s with plenty of sun. && .LONG TERM... (Saturday through next Thursday) Issued at 1026 PM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 Benign weather continues in the extended, leaving not much to discuss. The aforementioned high will slowly slide to the east and dominate our weather pattern through next week. This means that highs will warm each day so that by the end of the weekend, many locations will be near 80 once again before reaching into the low and mid-80s by Monday and Tuesday. There is a front that models are picking up on late week which may give us another cooldown then. As for rain, still none in sight as this forecast remains dry. && .AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 1026 PM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 TAFs are VFR. High pressure continues to build into Middle Tennessee following last evening`s fropa. Dew points continue to drop, and with winds staying up overnight, radiation fog is not expected. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
