.DISCUSSION...
Southwest flow ahead of an incoming low pressure system will
bring an influx of warm, moist air into the region tonight into
the day Saturday. Depending on the degree of advection and
convergence or lift, some of this may translate to fog with patchy
drizzle that could linger into the late morning hours. Otherwise,
expected significant rises in area temperature and dew point
readings ahead of the system.
Showers are expected ahead of the southeast moving cold front
Saturday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts between 25 to 35 mph
will be common just prior to and after its passage with potential
for the showers to accelerate gusts above 40 mph. Cold advection
in northwest flow behind the system Sunday favors a drying trend
with seasonably cool temperature and continued gusty wind.
There is potential for a lake effect snow band to develop late
Sunday near Forest County in Pennsylvania.
