Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
515 AM PDT Sun Oct 12 2025

.DISCUSSION...Another round of widespread precipitation is
expected today, with wetting rains expected for the vast majority
of the forecast area. The Cascades above 4000 feet and the eastern
mountains above 5000 feet are even expected to receive
accumulating snow through Monday. Cooler temperatures will then
prevail through the work week, with intermittent precip chances
across the mountains, before widespread precip chances return by
next weekend.

***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
